How can I help?
Help us fill a Care Kit
Our Care Kits need 2 days’ clothing, toiletries, toy, education supplies, book and quilt or wrap.
Our volunteers rely solely on physical In-Kind donations, financial donations, and grants to produce and deliver Care Kits.
Every child who receives one of our Care Kits receives immediate practical help, as well as hope and encouragement that they matter and their community cares.
Our Care Kits include:

Face washers / soap / soap container
Soft adult or child toothbrush and adult or child toothpaste
Small Shampoo and Conditioner
Roll-on Deodorant (plastic container)
Brush / comb / hair bands / hair clips / lip balm
Sanitary pads ultra-thins individually wrapped (supplied by Share the Dignity)
Nappies / nappy pants / baby wipes
New or handmade new children’s clothing sizes 00 to 16
Underwear
Girl’s crop tops sizes 8 to 16
Socks, 2-piece pyjamas
T-shirts / tops / shorts / dresses / fabric sun hats
Long pants / long sleeve tops / tracksuits / jackets / hoodies / beanies

Colouring books
Scrap /art books
A5 lined writing books
HB and coloured pencils / markers / pens
Erasers / wooden rulers
Small lunch box
Toys (new or handmade)
Small soft toy / doll
All ages 0 to 17
Small soft stress balls
Small handmade wooden toys (no rough surfaces)
(Batteries in toys must be under a securely screwed cover)

Books are the only item that can be pre-loved, but must be in excellent condition

Children usually get to choose the one they like.
Donations can be left at one of the Donation Points at MPs’ and Councillors’ offices and some Community Centres – see map and list below.
Financial donations are also needed to buy items that can’t be made by our volunteers, or to buy shortfalls in donations to fill the Care Kits.

Instead of adding to landfill,

FABRIC (for us to sew into
clothing, toys, quilts & accessories),
THREAD (sewing machine & overlocker),
ELASTIC, TRIMS & LACE;
YARN to knit or crochet wraps;
SEWING TOOLS & NOTIONS;
&
SEWING MACHINES or OVERLOCKERS
in good working condition.
We support #waronwaste and #circulareconomy ethics.
Nothing useful is wasted.
If we can’t use it for our Care Kits,
we will pass it on to someone who can.
